The Capital Innovation Point Serbia team took part in the Onsite Visit to Bulgarian EDIHs, held in Sofia within the NextHub Programme. The visit was organized by the Regional Cooperation Council — RCC, with the support of GIZ and FundingBox Group, at the invitation of the host InnovationAmp EDIH, operating within Sofia Tech Park.

During the programme, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences with representatives of European Digital Innovation Hubs, discuss sustainable models for EDIH development, and explore opportunities for joint project applications through the Digital Europe and Horizon Europe programmes.

The study visit also provided valuable insight into the Bulgarian innovation ecosystem and the ways in which it supports the digital transformation of companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the public sector.

A particularly inspiring part of the programme was the visit to AI Factory BRAIN++, an advanced supercomputing infrastructure that enables researchers, startups, and SMEs to develop and test AI solutions with access to high-performance computing capacities.

The visit also included workshops dedicated to the preparation of joint project proposals, the presentation of tools for accessing European funds, and discussions on the sustainability of European Digital Innovation Hubs and their role in strengthening innovation ecosystems.
